Courses
Our Mathematics Courses can be grouped into Developmental Mathematics (MATH 00xx), Non-Major Courses (all MATH 1xxx courses except Honors Calc 1 and 2), and Major Courses (all MATH courses at the 2000-level or above as well as Honors Calc 1 and 2). Several of our courses can be used to fullfill the core requirements of Arts and Science. For a complete list of courses, please visit the online course catalog. To see which MATH courses are currently offered, please check the Fall course schedule.
Most of our Computer Science courses are geared towards our major but can of course be taken by anyone with the necessary background. We also offer several general Computer Science courses suitable for all students. Our courses can be grouped into sequences that will familiarize a student with current trends in Computer Science and give them some hands-on skills they need in an increasingly more complex and technological world. Every student, and in particular every Science student, should take at least one Computer Science course.
We recently updated our requirements and added new courses: interested in learning how to program a video game, how to implement and search a DNA database, or in developing your problem solving skills? Then Computer Science may be a good major for you and a potentially great career choice. Even if you're only interested in finding out more about these topics, then our new course CSAS 1114: How to Design Programs, is for you. Learn how to solve problems and develop computer software -- skills that as a citizen of the XXIst century you will need. No prior programming experience is required for our intro courses. For further details, please contact Prof. Morazan.
